The Covenant of Care Course

Equipping our church family to care for the vulnerable with wisdom, love, and confidence

The Covenant of Care is a one-hour biblical training designed to equip volunteers and leaders at Calvary Pentecostal Church to protect children, youth, and vulnerable adults while making disciples of Jesus. This practical session covers the heart of Christ for the vulnerable, key prevention safeguards, our church safety policies, and how to respond wisely when concerns arise. Through teaching and real-life application, participants will grow in wisdom and faithfulness, helping us build a safe environment where discipleship can flourish.

Who Should Take It

All volunteers, leaders, teachers, nursery workers, youth leaders, ushers, greeters, and anyone serving with children or vulnerable adults.

Vulnerable Sector Check

Required for all volunteers working with children, youth, or vulnerable adultsTo ensure the safety of our church community, all volunteers in positions of trust must obtain a current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
This important screening step helps protect those we serve. The process is done entirely online and usually takes several weeks, so please apply as early as possible.How to Apply:1. Complete the Ministry Application Form Above (this is required before we can create your Agency Letter).2. Request your Agency Letter from the church office (this confirms your volunteer role and waives the fee).3. Once you receive your Agency Letter, proceed with the OPP application.
